Laser treatment is the process by which the skin is treated by using laser beam light. It is a type of cosmetic surgery and is undertaken by a specialist. In 1960, laser treatment was first introduced for eye care but now it has been spread into various other fields. Laser can be used to treat various dermatologic conditions like acne, pigmentation, birthmarks, liver spots and many more.

In a laser skin treatment, first the patient receives local anesthesia. The laser treatment uses laser beams to remove the number of affected outer layers to finally recover the perfect smooth layer. This method is painless and takes very less time. A laser light is a highly dependable, constant and reproducible source of energy (Robert Langdon, Understanding cosmetic laser surgery). Therefore, a laser treatment can be used to treat all types of skin problems repeatedly without any side effects.

Laser skin treatment for skin can be categorized in two processes, which are non-ablative and ablative treatment. The first method uses intense pulsed light, which gives quick pulses to treat scarred tissues and the second one uses carbon dioxide and Erbium: YAG laser, which uses high frequency light to treat scars of the skin. Both of these treatments are very effective in removing the scars of the skin and the visible results can be seen between three to six months. The cost of this treatment varies from $ 1,200 to $ 4,550 and sometimes multiple sessions are required.

Several steps should be taken after taking laser treatment for skin. First, the infected area should be covered with a bandage and proper ointment should be applied to the affected area. Next, people should always use sunscreen during laser treatment. In addition, if there is swelling and pain an ice pack should be regularly applied and medications like Tylenol should be taken. (Tina S. Alster, Manual of cutaneous laser techniques, Pg-169).

Skin is very important for every human being. However, when scars and spots blemishes it, it looks ugly. Laser treatment helps to solve this problem by giving a quick and painless treatment. Get yours done today, if you feel you could use a better looking skin.

As people began to age, acnes starts to appear in the face. However, when these acnes go away people are left with scars and ugly spots. It is very necessary to keep skin acne free and spotless to keep it healthy. Laser treatment helps to get rid of acne and the scars produced by it very quickly and safely using laser beams. Acne laser skin treatment is now of the most popular methods of treating acne problems.

Acne laser skin treatments are of two types which ablative and non-ablative laser treatments. In case of non-ablative treatment, high intensity light is used to removes the spots left by acne.. When light get absorbed into the skin acne scars are removed as collagen is produced. Initially before the treatment, a topical cream is applied which helps prevent the skin from bending so that there is no pain. This method is very quick and only removes the lower layers of skin. The visible results of these treatments can be seen from three to six months after the treatment. Temporary swelling or redness is the only side effects of using this treatment. Lastly, it can be used to treat acne scans in any part of the body (Vegetarian Times, Dec 2001).

Ablative laser treatment uses Erbium Yag laser and Carbon dioxide to treat laser acne scars. These uses high energy light to vaporizes the scarred skins so that scars, blemishes and spots caused by acnes are removed. As a result, only smooth skin remains after the scarred skin is removed. This method is very quick and only takes about one hour. However, most of the times patients have to go for repeated treatments, which can take up to six months to one year. One of main advantage of this treatment is the results can be seen very quickly and sometimes within three months. Another disadvantage is that the skin swells and becomes painful when the local anesthesia wears off (Vegetarian Times, Dec 2001).

Acne can be removed by two laser treatments, which are infrared laser, and the other is the pulsed dye laser. Both of these treatments are very safe and effective. These methods reduce the growth of the e sebum, which produces acne in the skin. However, when the condition of acne is severe, infra red laser is more effective than pulse dyed laser (Paul J. Carniol, Neil S. Sadick, Clinical Procedures in Laser Skin Rejuvenation, Pg-81).

All the laser treatments are very popular and safe for treating all acne problems. Sometimes acnes go away quickly and other times it takes long time to heal. However, before taking this treatment a person should consult with doctor before proceeding with any kind of operation.

Laser treatment uses laser beams to removed scars caused by the skin. It is now one of the most popular methods of removing laser acne scars.

Laser treatment used to treat acne scars can be categorized into two treatments ablative and non- ablative. In case of non-ablative treatment, intense pulsed light is used to treat the scars caused by the acne. These pulses of light get absorbed into the skin where they eliminate acne scars by stimulating collagen production. It can be used to treat acne scans in any part of the body. Initially before the treatment, a topical cream is applied which helps prevent the skin from bending so that there is no pain. This method is very quick and only removes the lower layers of skin. Twenty minutes of six treatments are usually taken once per month. The visible results of these treatments can be seen from three to six months after the treatment. There are minimum side effects of these treatments which are temporary swelling or redness(Vegetarian Times, Dec 2001).

Ablative laser treatment uses Erbium Yag laser and Carbon dioxide to treat laser acne scars. These uses high energy light to vaporizes the scarred skins so that scars, blemishes and spots caused by acnes are removed. As a result, after the scarred skin removed, only the smooth skin can be found. The treatment usually takes about one hour and sometimes repeated sessions are needed which can last from one to six years. However, most of the time visible results can be seen only three months after the treatment is taken. One of the main drawbacks of the treatment is that the spot takes very long time to vanish sometimes up to six months. Another disadvantage is that the skin swells and becomes painful when the local anesthesia wears off(Vegetarian Times, Dec 2001)

Both ablative and non-ablative laser treatments are very popular to removes scars caused by acne. The results and the treatment may vary from person to person. Therefore, acne scars should be only removed by qualified doctors to get the desired results.

Laser is the process by which lines and scars of skin can be treated by directing laser beams. In a recent survey it has been found that around seventy percent to ninety percent people suffer from acne at some point of their life (Barry E. DiBernardo, Jason N. Pozner, 2009). Both adults and adolescents are affected by acne. And, it is one of the most common forms of disorders need to be treated by dermatologists. Laser treatment is now replacing traditional methods of curing acne, as it is painless and effective.

Barry E. DiBernardo, Jason N. Pozner quotes “Acne vulgar is a disorder of the sebaceous glands”. Sebum is a substance that is produced by the sebaceous glands which keeps both the hair and skin moisturized. During childhood, these sebaceous glands enlarge and more sebum is produced due to the abnormal hormone growth in these glands. A bacterium, known as Propionibacterium acnes takes the help of the sebum and produces more acne.

Laser acne treatment is can be categorized into two categories. The first one is infrared acne laser and the other is the pulsed dye laser. Infra red laser is used to reduce the sebum, which causes acne. This method destroys the sebaceous gland by targeting water, which is the main choromophore present in the glands (Paul J. Carniol, Neil S. Sadick, Clinical Procedures in Laser Skin Rejuvenation, Pg-81). A 1430 nm diode is the most effective in treating acne using infrared laser. However, studies have shown that the visible improvements are temporary and the lesions tend to get back after use. Another type of laser treatment for acne scar is pulse-dyed laser. It is used to treat the spots of skin, which are made of blood vessels using a specific wavelength. However, it is only used for mild causes of acne and the results are not always that effective which may vary from person to person.

Whether a person need laser treatment depends upon the condition of the person. Some people suffer for acne for a shorter time and others suffer for a very long time. Therefore, a doctor can only recommend the best laser treatment for a person who is suffering from acne.

At some point in his or her life, everyone is affected by acne. However, when these acnes fade away, people are left behind with ugly scars and spots. There are different methods available for treating these scars, which are not that effective or fast. As a ground breaking development in the past few years, laser treatment for acne scars nowadays has become very popular, which uses carbon dioxide, EPG laser and sometimes a combination of these two(Hans-Peter Berlien and Gerhard J. Müller 2003).

One of the very popular ways of removing acne scars is by using carbon dioxide. It is a very safe and effective method for treating scars left by acne. First, very high frequent of energy is applied to the skin which vaporizes the infected scarred tissues of the skin. As a result, only fresh and clean skin remains after the treatment. The results of these methods are very effective and with no side effects. However, people undertaking treatment takes long time to recover and also they should avoid sun exposure after the treatment.

Another type of laser treatment for acne scar is Erbium YAG laser. In this method, energy is emitted by using a specific wavelength, which treats the scarred tissues, but the normal skin remains unaffected. The results are very effective and the healing period is also very short. However, there is less skin tightening and results are always not that consistent.

Some people also use a combination both CO2 laser and Erbium YAG laser for treating acne scars. In this method, the burst helps to removes the skin layer by layer by removing all the scars of skin and leaving it smooth and tight. During the first three days of the treatment, a silicon dressing is applied and after that occlusive ointment is applied to cover the wound. From seven to ten days after treatment, continuous soaking of the skin is recommended. The results of this procedure are very effective and there is minimum scarring and healing period is faster. However, to see continuous results people have to undergo through this treatment for at least eighteen weeks.

Acne scars is a very serious problem faced by people. However, recently there have many developments in the field of laser treatment for the people, due to which it has become a very popular treatment. However, people should only undergo thorugh these treatments after consulting with qualified doctors.

What is Soft Laser?

Soft laser technology is one of the newest additions to the cosmetic surgery options. Usage of laser as cosmetic surgery weapon has been in the field for quite a while, however, the use and introduction of soft laser technology is quite contemporary compared to other procedures. Its most famous usage is in acne treatment and hair removal therapy.

The laser treatment on hair removal has been acclaimed much these days. The soft laser removes the hair completely working on the follicle but at the same time leaves no affect on the skin. The procedure is said to have the least side effect on skin. Unlike other hair removal therapies- like waxing or using creams, laser therapy provides a long term solution. It takes 1.5 to 3 months of intervaled procedures to come up with a 95% full body hair removal solution. Hence, the procedure goes slow on body.

Common misconceptions about soft laser hair removal therapy:

Like any other idea of the world- there are two schools of thoughts about soft laser therapy too. One school seems to have some pointless notions about soft laser hair removal. Lets check some of these out-

• Myth: laser technology to remove hair harms other vital organs:

This is so not true! The soft laser used at hair removal hardly penetrates 1-5mm of skin. How is it going to reach any vital internal organ of the body? Also after reaching this depth- it dissipates completely and thus it is never returned. The beam of laser used hence slightly slides over the skin surface with little/no scope to damage the slightest of the surface. The highest possible reaction for this can be a little redness in the skin- which occurs even when one is going for waxing!

• Myth: Laser Treatment leaves scar on the skin and causes hair ingrowth:

Scarring is a problem associated completely with the process of electric hair removal- not laser! In the former one, the scars are induced by the needle that pokes the skin, but in case of laser- there is nothing to scar or poke the skin.

Hair ingrowth again cannot be associated with laser technology- it occurs most of the time after waxing. In fact, to overcome such problems most of the beauticians these days prescribe laser treatments for hair removal.

• Myth: Laser treatments are too expensive!

Yes, at first glance anyone would say the procedure is expensive. However, lets take a look at the cash flow statement of every women spending how much money on hair removal procedures each year. Now multiply it by 10 or 20! That’s the actual amount that laser technology saves you from! Now, does it look gigantic anymore?

Peoples’ reaction about these:

Again, there are two schools! One group of people always the daredevils- the opinion leaders! They don’t care what the myths say- they opt for fact and the truth. These are the people who are increasingly using soft laser treatments for acne as well as hair removal.

Unlike other cosmetic treatment procedures, Nulase is a user friendly and very handy tool in order to treat/ cure skin problems.
• Fine lines
• Age spots
• Wrinkles
• Any imperfections in the endodermic layer of the skin
The previously expensive and only available at clinics and spas cosmetic treatments for skin are threatened these days by Nulase which allows one to have the age defying technology at fingertips, not to mention at affordable range.

World’s first use-at-home laser treatment:

Nulase Soft Touch Laser Anti Aging System is the very first use-at-home laser technology of the world. Just because it allows the users to apply at home it doesn’t mean it lacks efficiency from clinical procedures. Rather, it is being equipped with the most recent technologies of soft laser treatment. According to the producers, the system can give the user younger looking skin in one week!

Chemical peels, collagen shots- are nonetheless painful not to mention highly priced. Why would you go for premium priced high end services when you can afford and manage to have better sitting at home? Usage of soft laser technology enables Nulase to assure a much safer and not-at-all painful service. It assures complete rejuvenation of skin while making it look smoother, brighter, softer and younger with each passing day. The Nulase System comes in a complete package with cleanser and lotions which are necessary to maintain the skin. At eBay the product is currently available at a discounted price of $199 only! I guess days for spending thousands of bucks on surgeries are over! Knives for cosmetic surgeries are so yesterday. Today is the Nulase day.

Guarantee of Harmless effect:

People might get scared at the word “laser”- thinking it might be one of those hot-piercing beams shown in movies. Hold on there! Its nothing like you have thought. Soft laser is a lot different from the surgical lasers. It penetrates merely a centimeter of the upper layer of the skin, and thus it can hardly ever, cut, inflame or burn the skin. It rather rejuvenates the skin by stimulating energy in the cellular level and repairs the skin imperfections as well. It also in the process increases the level of collagen leaving your skin fresh and young like.
For decades, the scientists have conveyed research on soft laser therapies and have ensured that it has no significant side effect.

Treating Acne with Nulase:

Nulase Soft Laser works on the sebaceous glands- where the oil is produced in the skin and plays as the root for acne growth. It uses light as the stimulator for water on the upper layer of skin. Thus the treatment reduces the sebum production to such level that, it stops acnes from popping up at the same time keeping the skin hydrated and fresh. Its being found out that Nulase Soft laser can effectively stop acne growth than any other acne treatment like Cleansers or Retin A.

Seriously, that’s what soft laser is all about. No cutting, no burning. A straight, clean solution for removing scars.
How does this work? It works by stimulates collagen production in an area. Increased collagen raises the skin that has been depressed by the acne scar. Finally, making it flush with the rest of the facial skin. With less skin to rise, relatively shallow scars can respond to the treatment very quickly. Some only need one session to heal completely.
Laser treatments have improved to the point where you can put on makeup immediately after the procedure. And then you can go on about your business. However, everyone’s skin responds differently. So, it’s very important to contact a licensed professional and run the appropriate tests before going for the treatment.

Soft laser actually refers to two different things. Firstly, the soft laser treatment that a patient undergoes under controlled circumstances with a licensed professional. And secondly, a handheld device that can be bought for home use. The first one is done under strict control of professionals. So for the time being, let’s focus on the latter one.

The Soft Light Laser or Soft Laser, this is a handheld device you can buy for home use. It is a low-level laser designed to treat wrinkles, acne scars.

The laser is meant to gently stimulate the cell activity where it is pointed. This promotes faster healing and rebuilding of skin. One advertisement for the Soft Laser says regular use will make you look ten years younger. No users have claimed it’s that much of a miracle worker, but some note that their skin is overall more luminous. It comes with a video, booklet and flash cards, so that there is little risk of not being able to follow the directions precisely. It also comes with goggles and advises you not to stare at the laser. It does assure you though, that looking at it will do no harm. You are advised to glide the laser over the affected area anywhere from three to fifteen minutes, depending on the nature of the scar. Users agree that about six minutes is plenty, especially since the treatment is daily. It is expected that it will take several months to notice much of a response.

Does it really work? Independent reviewers have said they saw mild improvement, particularly when used in conjunction with a similar product, like the Derma Wand. Others have said that, despite following the directions carefully, they have seen no change after more than six months of use. It appears to be safe, but a few users have reported the worsening of their condition or even new marks. While this seems to be rare, it is still worth bearing in mind before deciding to purchase the Soft Laser.
If you do decide to try it, look for a site that offers the option to return if you are unsatisfied. Many sites do not allow returns, and since it costs nearly $200, it is something to consider before purchasing.
While the laser level in the Soft Laser is low, you should still consult your doctor before trying it. Everyone’s skin is different and yours may be too sensitive for laser treatment.

With cosmetic surgeries getting increasingly popular these, new innovations are being brought forward in this field.

These are lasers that do not harm the tissue, rather acts in such a way that the cells are actually rejuvenated.
These lasers are being used for all types of health care systems. Not only do doctors and physicians use them, but also health providers like acupuncturists, osteopaths, massage therapists etc. The chiropractors and veterinarians have been using low level laser for a long time since the cost of laser technology was high. However, now that laser technology has reduced in price, many common people are taking the benefits of the healing properties that this provides. Most of these lasers are designed n such a way that any layman or registered doctor can use them.

How Soft Lasers Work

There is a material called the ATP in the human cells. This ATP controls 80-90% of the activities of the cell. Soft Laser is so popular because it donates energy to the cells so that ATP manufacture is stimulated further. Cold laser can be compared to the effect of sunlight on a garden. Sunlight gives energy as photons which cause the plants and vegetables to grow at a faster rate. Low level laser works in the same way and donates photons to the cells to regenerate them.

The cells in the human body are able to detect the different frequencies of energy that are there in the electromagnetic spectrum (the family of colors in white light). This is done by receptors in the cell membrane. Soft Laser produces both visible and infrared light. This frequency of light contains information that these receptors are able to understand. This information then reaches the cell’s mitochondrion and the DNA, which stimulate the cells to work better.
Thus Soft Laser actually penetrates the skin and reaches the cells with the information that the cells understand. This way it actually influences the proper functioning of the bodies. Below are some of the functions that Soft Laser performs:
•	Cell membrane polarization and permeability goes up
•	Increased production in the ATP
•	More production of collagen
•	More formation of capillaries
•	More macrophage activity
•	Improved blood flow
•	Gives anti inflammatory effect
•	Production of antioxidants is increased
Soft Laser light is only absorbed by the cells and tissues that are having trouble in proper functioning. It has no effect on the healthy functioning of cells.

Soft Laser Safety Facts

Many people who have used this Soft Laser have not been satisfied. Many have complained that there was little improvement, if not at all. Despite following all directions as per stipulation, they have failed to find any improvements. Although the Soft Laser is supposed to be safe, some users have also complained that their conditions worsened. Some have even said that there
were new marks left in their face. The Soft Laser is expensive. So when you buy it, check to see if the site gives the return option for dissatisfied customers.
