Laser treatment is the process by which the skin is treated by using laser beam light. It is a type of cosmetic surgery and is undertaken by a specialist. In 1960, laser treatment was first introduced for eye care but now it has been spread into various other fields. Laser can be used to treat various dermatologic conditions like acne, pigmentation, birthmarks, liver spots and many more.

In a laser skin treatment, first the patient receives local anesthesia. The laser treatment uses laser beams to remove the number of affected outer layers to finally recover the perfect smooth layer. This method is painless and takes very less time. A laser light is a highly dependable, constant and reproducible source of energy (Robert Langdon, Understanding cosmetic laser surgery). Therefore, a laser treatment can be used to treat all types of skin problems repeatedly without any side effects.

Laser skin treatment for skin can be categorized in two processes, which are non-ablative and ablative treatment. The first method uses intense pulsed light, which gives quick pulses to treat scarred tissues and the second one uses carbon dioxide and Erbium: YAG laser, which uses high frequency light to treat scars of the skin. Both of these treatments are very effective in removing the scars of the skin and the visible results can be seen between three to six months. The cost of this treatment varies from $ 1,200 to $ 4,550 and sometimes multiple sessions are required.

Several steps should be taken after taking laser treatment for skin. First, the infected area should be covered with a bandage and proper ointment should be applied to the affected area. Next, people should always use sunscreen during laser treatment. In addition, if there is swelling and pain an ice pack should be regularly applied and medications like Tylenol should be taken. (Tina S. Alster, Manual of cutaneous laser techniques, Pg-169).

Skin is very important for every human being. However, when scars and spots blemishes it, it looks ugly. Laser treatment helps to solve this problem by giving a quick and painless treatment. Get yours done today, if you feel you could use a better looking skin.

As people began to age, acnes starts to appear in the face. However, when these acnes go away people are left with scars and ugly spots. It is very necessary to keep skin acne free and spotless to keep it healthy. Laser treatment helps to get rid of acne and the scars produced by it very quickly and safely using laser beams. Acne laser skin treatment is now of the most popular methods of treating acne problems.

Acne laser skin treatments are of two types which ablative and non-ablative laser treatments. In case of non-ablative treatment, high intensity light is used to removes the spots left by acne.. When light get absorbed into the skin acne scars are removed as collagen is produced. Initially before the treatment, a topical cream is applied which helps prevent the skin from bending so that there is no pain. This method is very quick and only removes the lower layers of skin. The visible results of these treatments can be seen from three to six months after the treatment. Temporary swelling or redness is the only side effects of using this treatment. Lastly, it can be used to treat acne scans in any part of the body (Vegetarian Times, Dec 2001).

Ablative laser treatment uses Erbium Yag laser and Carbon dioxide to treat laser acne scars. These uses high energy light to vaporizes the scarred skins so that scars, blemishes and spots caused by acnes are removed. As a result, only smooth skin remains after the scarred skin is removed. This method is very quick and only takes about one hour. However, most of the times patients have to go for repeated treatments, which can take up to six months to one year. One of main advantage of this treatment is the results can be seen very quickly and sometimes within three months. Another disadvantage is that the skin swells and becomes painful when the local anesthesia wears off (Vegetarian Times, Dec 2001).

Acne can be removed by two laser treatments, which are infrared laser, and the other is the pulsed dye laser. Both of these treatments are very safe and effective. These methods reduce the growth of the e sebum, which produces acne in the skin. However, when the condition of acne is severe, infra red laser is more effective than pulse dyed laser (Paul J. Carniol, Neil S. Sadick, Clinical Procedures in Laser Skin Rejuvenation, Pg-81).

All the laser treatments are very popular and safe for treating all acne problems. Sometimes acnes go away quickly and other times it takes long time to heal. However, before taking this treatment a person should consult with doctor before proceeding with any kind of operation.

Laser treatment uses laser beams to removed scars caused by the skin. It is now one of the most popular methods of removing laser acne scars.

Laser treatment used to treat acne scars can be categorized into two treatments ablative and non- ablative. In case of non-ablative treatment, intense pulsed light is used to treat the scars caused by the acne. These pulses of light get absorbed into the skin where they eliminate acne scars by stimulating collagen production. It can be used to treat acne scans in any part of the body. Initially before the treatment, a topical cream is applied which helps prevent the skin from bending so that there is no pain. This method is very quick and only removes the lower layers of skin. Twenty minutes of six treatments are usually taken once per month. The visible results of these treatments can be seen from three to six months after the treatment. There are minimum side effects of these treatments which are temporary swelling or redness(Vegetarian Times, Dec 2001).

Ablative laser treatment uses Erbium Yag laser and Carbon dioxide to treat laser acne scars. These uses high energy light to vaporizes the scarred skins so that scars, blemishes and spots caused by acnes are removed. As a result, after the scarred skin removed, only the smooth skin can be found. The treatment usually takes about one hour and sometimes repeated sessions are needed which can last from one to six years. However, most of the time visible results can be seen only three months after the treatment is taken. One of the main drawbacks of the treatment is that the spot takes very long time to vanish sometimes up to six months. Another disadvantage is that the skin swells and becomes painful when the local anesthesia wears off(Vegetarian Times, Dec 2001)

Both ablative and non-ablative laser treatments are very popular to removes scars caused by acne. The results and the treatment may vary from person to person. Therefore, acne scars should be only removed by qualified doctors to get the desired results.

Laser is the process by which lines and scars of skin can be treated by directing laser beams. In a recent survey it has been found that around seventy percent to ninety percent people suffer from acne at some point of their life (Barry E. DiBernardo, Jason N. Pozner, 2009). Both adults and adolescents are affected by acne. And, it is one of the most common forms of disorders need to be treated by dermatologists. Laser treatment is now replacing traditional methods of curing acne, as it is painless and effective.

Barry E. DiBernardo, Jason N. Pozner quotes “Acne vulgar is a disorder of the sebaceous glands”. Sebum is a substance that is produced by the sebaceous glands which keeps both the hair and skin moisturized. During childhood, these sebaceous glands enlarge and more sebum is produced due to the abnormal hormone growth in these glands. A bacterium, known as Propionibacterium acnes takes the help of the sebum and produces more acne.

Laser acne treatment is can be categorized into two categories. The first one is infrared acne laser and the other is the pulsed dye laser. Infra red laser is used to reduce the sebum, which causes acne. This method destroys the sebaceous gland by targeting water, which is the main choromophore present in the glands (Paul J. Carniol, Neil S. Sadick, Clinical Procedures in Laser Skin Rejuvenation, Pg-81). A 1430 nm diode is the most effective in treating acne using infrared laser. However, studies have shown that the visible improvements are temporary and the lesions tend to get back after use. Another type of laser treatment for acne scar is pulse-dyed laser. It is used to treat the spots of skin, which are made of blood vessels using a specific wavelength. However, it is only used for mild causes of acne and the results are not always that effective which may vary from person to person.

Whether a person need laser treatment depends upon the condition of the person. Some people suffer for acne for a shorter time and others suffer for a very long time. Therefore, a doctor can only recommend the best laser treatment for a person who is suffering from acne.

At some point in his or her life, everyone is affected by acne. However, when these acnes fade away, people are left behind with ugly scars and spots. There are different methods available for treating these scars, which are not that effective or fast. As a ground breaking development in the past few years, laser treatment for acne scars nowadays has become very popular, which uses carbon dioxide, EPG laser and sometimes a combination of these two(Hans-Peter Berlien and Gerhard J. Müller 2003).

One of the very popular ways of removing acne scars is by using carbon dioxide. It is a very safe and effective method for treating scars left by acne. First, very high frequent of energy is applied to the skin which vaporizes the infected scarred tissues of the skin. As a result, only fresh and clean skin remains after the treatment. The results of these methods are very effective and with no side effects. However, people undertaking treatment takes long time to recover and also they should avoid sun exposure after the treatment.

Another type of laser treatment for acne scar is Erbium YAG laser. In this method, energy is emitted by using a specific wavelength, which treats the scarred tissues, but the normal skin remains unaffected. The results are very effective and the healing period is also very short. However, there is less skin tightening and results are always not that consistent.

Some people also use a combination both CO2 laser and Erbium YAG laser for treating acne scars. In this method, the burst helps to removes the skin layer by layer by removing all the scars of skin and leaving it smooth and tight. During the first three days of the treatment, a silicon dressing is applied and after that occlusive ointment is applied to cover the wound. From seven to ten days after treatment, continuous soaking of the skin is recommended. The results of this procedure are very effective and there is minimum scarring and healing period is faster. However, to see continuous results people have to undergo through this treatment for at least eighteen weeks.

Acne scars is a very serious problem faced by people. However, recently there have many developments in the field of laser treatment for the people, due to which it has become a very popular treatment. However, people should only undergo thorugh these treatments after consulting with qualified doctors.

Guarantee of Harmless effect:

People might get scared at the word “laser”- thinking it might be one of those hot-piercing beams shown in movies. Hold on there! Its nothing like you have thought. Soft laser is a lot different from the surgical lasers. It penetrates merely a centimeter of the upper layer of the skin, and thus it can hardly ever, cut, inflame or burn the skin. It rather rejuvenates the skin by stimulating energy in the cellular level and repairs the skin imperfections as well. It also in the process increases the level of collagen leaving your skin fresh and young like.
For decades, the scientists have conveyed research on soft laser therapies and have ensured that it has no significant side effect.

It uses light as the stimulator for water on the upper layer of skin. Thus the treatment reduces the sebum production to such level that, it stops acnes from popping up at the same time keeping the skin hydrated and fresh. Its being found out that Nulase Soft laser can effectively stop acne growth than any other acne treatment like Cleansers or Retin A.

The term Soft Laser actually means two different things. One is the Soft Laser treatment that a patient goes through under controlled conditions and with the supervision of a licensed professional. Another is the Soft Laser, the handheld device that is used to treat various skin problems and can be used at home by laymen. Soft Laser is also known as cold laser, healing laser etc. It works just like the sunlight works in the garden. The light of the sun stimulates the plants to produce more food.

The light released by the Soft Laser stimulates the collagen production in the skin. When skin is affected by acne, there is a permanent scar on the facial skin. The increased level of collagen will cause the skin in the acne affected area to be raised quickly, which will make it level with the rest of the skin. If the scars are shallow then they respond very fast with this treatment. Some even vanish in one session. However, such is not the case with deeper scars. Laser treatment these days is so good that a person can apply makeup right after the laser treatment. However, since different people have different skins it is only natural that the treatment does not work the same way for everyone. Therefore, before going for a full treatment, make sure that a certified esthetician has run tests and given you the green signal.

When pointed at the scar tissue, the Soft Laser is said to stimulate the cellular functions. This promotes the cell to heal faster and rebuild the skin. Although advertisements will claim to make you ten years younger, there are no substantial proofs to this. Users have also said that it cannot perform such miracles. However, the skin is said to get more luminous.

Most available Soft Lasers have video, flashcards and booklets that explain how to use the Soft Laser. They even come with goggles that are given for the eye protection. Usually the direction is to glide the laser over the skin for three to fifteen minutes. The time duration is usually dependent on the type of blemish that you have. Most users say that applying it for six minutes is good enough since you will be using it regularly.

Reviews

Reviewers have not given generally positive reviews on the Soft Laser technology. According to them, the Soft Laser has not been able to improve the look of the acne scars. Few have claimed mild improvement while some have said that they got no benefit even after using for six months.

Buying

If you decide to buy the Soft Laser, bear in mind that it costs a lot of money. So check for a site that offers the return option if you are dissatisfied with the use of the Soft Laser. Also, consult your doctor before buying a Soft Laser. The laser level in the Soft Laser is low, but there is the fact that everyone has different skins. Therefore, it may have adverse effects on your skin while it benefits others. So get a doctor’s advice before buying.
